Upon graduating from Oklahoma State University in 2006, with a degree in Multimedia Technology, Chris McKinzie took a job for the Tulsa World. For the following four years Chris developed and maintained various sections of TulsaWorld.com, such as Newspaper in Education, in addition to designing and developing numerous featured sites including Flash biography websites for Will Rogers and Oral Roberts with interactive timelines, Spot Music Awards with voting capabilities.

Currently, Chris is the Operations Manager at Elevated Tree,where he oversees the design and development process for websites, along with creating business card designs and logo designs. Using HTMLS, Javascript, PHP, CSS3, and MySQL, Elevated Tree builds a variety of websites for businesses of various sizes. The majority of websites using WordPress as the CMS.
